What are dangerous goods?

Articles or substances which are capable of posing a hazard to health, safety, property or the environment and which are shown in the list of dangerous goods in DOC 9284 Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (ICAO TI), or which are classified according to ICAO TI.

What are 9 Classes of Dangerous goods?
|
Substances and articles subject to ICAO TI are assigned to one of nine classes according to the hazard or the most predominant of the hazards they present. Some of these classes are subdivided into divisions. These classes and divisions are:

Passenger or crew are forbidden to carry dangerous goods either as or in carry-on baggage, checked baggage or on person unless the dangerous goods are permitted in accordance with ICAO TI or IATA DGR and personal use only for example:
